KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (ankle) made an appearance on the practice field Thursday, but didn’t do much.

“Maclin came out and did a little bit during the stretch period and that was about it,” coach Andy Reid said.

Maclin, who didn’t participate in the team-related portion of practice, hasn’t practiced in recent days since suffering the ankle injury in last week’s playoff game against the Houston Texans.

Still, Reid said earlier in the week Maclin is the type of player who could play Saturday against the New England Patriots even without a full week of practice.

“He could do that,” Reid said Tuesday. “He might not have to do that, but he could do that.”

The Chiefs officially list Maclin as not practicing, along with right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (concussion), rookie center Mitch Morse (concussion) and linebacker Tamba Hali (knee, thumb).

Reid said Duvernay-Tardif and Morse have not passed the concussion protocol, while the team continues to take it easy on Hali.

“He’s got a little bit of swelling in his knee,” Reid said of Hali.

The Chiefs list outside linebacker Justin Houston (knee) as a limited participant for a second straight day.

“Justin Houston went through the warmups and is making progress,” Reid said.

Running back Spencer Ware (ankle) also put in a limited practice after not practicing Wednesday.

The Chiefs list guard Jeff Allen (thumb), center/guard Zach Fulton (ankle), tight end Travis Kelce (groin), linebacker Josh Mauga (ankle), right tackle Jah Reid (knee) and wide receiver Albert Wilson (hamstring) as practicing fully.

Wilson was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

The Patriots continue to list 17 players on the injury report, but Thursday saw movement with a major weapon on offense as tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee) did not practice after being limited on Wednesday.

The Patriots list quarterback Tom Brady (ankle) as a full participant for a second straight day.
