KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Week 10’s game between the Chiefs and Denver Broncos resulted in fines for both teams.
Chiefs right tackle Jah Reid was fined $8,681 for an unnecessary roughness penalty against the Denver Broncos in Week 10, according to a league spokesman.
The play occurred late in the first quarter when Reid dove on top of Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller.
Reid’s 15-yard penalty negated a 16-yard run by Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith.
Broncos safety T.J. Ward was fined $10,000 for unnecessary roughness, according to the league spokesman.
Ward struck Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin in the head at the end of running back Charcandrick West’s 80-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter.
The penalty resulted in Ward’s ejection from the game.
