KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Linebacker Justin Houston will play for the Chiefs against the Tennessee Titans in their week 15 matchup, but the team will be without cornerback Phillip Gaines and defensive lineman Kendall Reyes.
The team listed Houston questionable for the game after he was limited in practice this week with an illness and tenderness in his knee.
Gaines missed practice all week with inflammation in his knee Reyes continues nursing a wrist injury.
The team indicated linebacker D.J. Alexander received the nod to start alongside Ramik Wilson at the inside linebacker spots in the absence of Derrick Johnson. The team placed Johnson on injured reserve with a torn Achilles tendon, ending his season.
Cornerback D.J. White joins the active list in place of Gaines. Defensive lineman David King, promoted from the practice squad Saturday, is active in place of Reyes. Linebacker Dadi Nicolas is also active.
The Titans are without part-time starting linebacker Sean Spence and reserve linebacker David Bass. Defensive lineman Jurrell Casey and Karl Klug, listed questionable Friday, expect to play.
