KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs hit the practice field Tuesday afternoon in shorts and helmet for the only full-team workout ahead of Thursday night’s game against the Denver Broncos.
And one key player, right tackle Eric Fisher, was warming up and stretching during the portion of practice open to the media.
“He’s going to practice today,” coach Andy Reid said following the morning walkthrough.
But Fisher’s repetitions will be monitored as he returns from a high-ankle sprain suffered on Aug. 17 in training camp.
“It’s making progress,” Reid said of Fisher’s ankle. “I’m not sure it’s all the way back, though, where we need to be.”
The Chiefs have a Plan B option available in Jah Reid, who started in place of Fisher against the Houston Texans in Week 1.
“Jah will take the majority of reps with the ones,” the head coach said.
