KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs on Friday re-signed wide receiver Chad Hall a day before traveling to Oakland to meet the Raiders.
Hall returns less than a week after the Chiefs released him. The move comes with wide receiver/punt returner Dexter McCluster missing Thursday’s practice with an ankle injury.
A versatile player, Hall can also returns punts.
To make room on the roster for Week 15, the Chiefs released defensive lineman Jerrell Powe, who signed with the team in Week 14.
This marks the third time this season the Chiefs have signed Hall to the active roster.
The Chiefs first signed Hall on Sept. 1 before releasing him on Nov. 13 in favor of wide receiver Kyle Williams, who was claimed off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers. The team brought back Hall on Nov. 22 after Williams suffered a season-ending ACL injury.
Hall was then released on Dec. 7 when the Chiefs elevated tight end Dominique Jones from the practice squad to the active roster.
