ST. JOSEPSH, Mo. — The Chiefs have signed defensive back Malcolm Jackson, an undrafted free-agent cornerback from Charleston Southern.
To make room for Jackson on the roster, the team waived defensive back Vernon Harris.
Jackson is a 5-11, 183 pound is a native of Sugar Hill, Ga. He was a three-year starter at Charleston Southern, and earned first-team all-Big South Conference honors as a senior.
He ranks in the top five all-time for passes defended in Big South Conference history and led the conference his senior season.
Harris signed as an undrafted free agent in May. The 6-1, 197 pound cornerback from Dartmouth was a three-time all-Ivy League player who was the first player in school history to start 40 career games.
