KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe (groin) did not practice Friday.
Coach Andy Reid said during Friday’s media session that Bowe experienced groin spasms late in Thursday’s practice, leading the Chiefs to list him as a limited participant on Thursday’s report.
Bowe was observed going through warm-ups without his helmet during the portion of Friday’s practice open to the media.
As for Bowe’s availability for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns, Reid took a cautious approach, saying Bowe is “day-to-day.”
“We’ll just see how he does,” Reid said. “He’s feeling a little bit better today than he did yesterday, which is good, but let’s just see how he is tomorrow and we’ll go from there.”
If Bowe is unavailable to start alongside wide receivers Donnie Avery and Dexter McCluster, second-year wide receiver Junior Hemingway is next on the depth chart.
The official NFL Injury Report will be released later Friday afternoon.
