Running back Darrin Reaves, rookie offensive lineman Michael Liedtke, linebacker Jayson DiManche and cornerback Saalim Hakim signed with the practice squad, the Chiefs announced.

The 5-10, 215-pound Reaves, who brings playing experience from the 2014 season with the Carolina Panthers, spent time with the Chiefs in training camp and preseason.

Reaves finished second on the team in rushing during the preseason with 106 yards rushing and a touchdown on 30 carries, adding 47 yards receiving and a touchdown on nine catches. The Chiefs waived Reaves on Sept. 5 as part of the team’s roster cuts to reach the initial 53-man roster.

The 6-3, 305-pound Liedtke, who entered the NFL in May as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State with the Miami Dolphins, offers versatility at guard and left tackle. He played left guard during his sophomore and junior season at Illinois State, and then left tackle his senior year.

DiManche, who measures 6-2, 229 pounds, entered the league in 2013 as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Illinois with the Cincinnati Bengals, who recently waived him with an injury settlement on Sept. 11.

The 5-11, 188-pound Hakim, the younger brother of former NFL wide receiver Az-Zahir Hakim, has bounced around the league since 2012, spending time with the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams, New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions.

To make room on the practice squad, the Chiefs elevated running back Spencer Ware to the active 53-man roster, and waived rookie offensive lineman Daniel Munyer, rookie linebacker Tyrell Adams and cornerback Jeremy Harris.
