Chiefs’ Eric Berry, Sammy Watkins, Spencer Ware Questionable vs. Colts

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The status of Chiefs safety Eric Berry entering Saturday's Divisional Playoff game against the Colts remains unclear, with the defensive leader listed as questionable and a likely game-time decision for Saturday

Berry practiced in a limited role on Tuesday, but missed workouts on Wednesday and Thursday. Head coach Andy Reid said Berry performed well before the club "kicked him back" the last two days.

"Same way it's been throughout the year here," Reid said. "We'll just see how it all works out."

Wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who sat out the final five games of the regular season with a foot injury, appears on target to contribute in some role against the Colts. He practiced for the first time since Week 11 in preparation for Saturday's playoff contest and also enters the weekend as questionable.

"He's done a nice job," Reid said. "He's had good work all three days and has looked pretty good. We'll see how he finishes up today and see how he feels."

Running back Spencer Ware (hamstring) also is listed questionable after remaining limited throughout the week.

The prospects look less promising for linebacker Dorian O'Daniel, who did not practice this week with what Reid described as a quad contusion. The team lists him with a calf/ankle injury. He suffered the lower leg injury against the Oakland Raiders in Week 17.

Indianapolis enters Saturday's game with arguably a more challenging injury situation. The club placed safety Mike Mitchell on injured reserve this week with a calf injury. Safety Malik Hooker is questionable with a foot injury, while fellow safety Clayton Geathers (knee) did not practice Thursday.

Two starting defensive lineman also appear on the injury report with Denico Autry (shoulder) questionable and Tyquan Lewis (knee) doubtful. The Colts ruled out backup wide receiver Ryan Grant (toe).

Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) did not practice this week but expects to play. Several other starters including left tackle Anthony Castonzo (knee) LB Darius Leonard (shoulder/ankle), tight end Eric Ebron (hip) and safety Clayton Geathers (knee) all missed practice time this week.
